This month’s SpanJazz brings you Moonshine Boulevard; an evening of toe-tapping traditional Dixieland –style jazz music on Thursday 19th October 2017 at the Plas Hyfryd Hotel, Narberth.
Tudor Thomas; the veteran trombonist from Llawhaden hooks up with some of the best West Country Dixielanders to play freewheeling Southern standards in the tradition of Fats Waller and Kid Ory. A night of glory in the tradition and history of jazz in Britain.
Made up of members; Tudor Thomas (trombone, vocals) Ron King (trumpet, vocals) Jeff Matthews (clarinet) Keith Hall (banjo, guitar, vocals) Peter Berry (double bass) Mike Pearce (drums), Moonshine Boulevard have proven to bring audiences to their feet.
Span Arts’ long-running jazz monthly takes place in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere at the wonderful Plas Hyfryd Hotel, Narberth. With real ales, a meal available and great foot-tapping music, this venue is the perfect environment for this exceptional event. This extraordinary evening of glorious Jazz is one that is not to be missed.
